Beach, a Marine helicopter pilot, died when his helicopter was
shot down by enemy fire while evacuating wounded soldiers.
Major Beach died in Danang Province, South Vietnam.
Major
Beach was assigned to Marine Helicopter Squad 163, Marine
Group 16, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing.

Corporal
Garcia was killed by hostile communist rocket fire while
fighting near Quang Nai Province. Corporal Garcia was
assigned to G Company, 2nd Battalion, Seventh Marine Division,
as a radio operator.

PFC
Gabaldon died while fighting hostile communist forces in Quang
Tri Province, South Vietnam. Private Gabaldon was
assigned to M Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment.

Brewton died in Iwakuni, Japan. At the time of his
death, he was returning from a mission. He was assigned
to V-P48 flying P3 Orions. His mission was to seek out
and destroy enemy ships between Japan and Vietnam waters.
All aboard were killed.

Ogami died while assigned to B Company, 1st Batallion, 12th
Cavalry, 1st Air Cavalry Division. He died while engaged
in hostile action with communist forces in South Vietnam.

Candelas died while engaging hostile communist forces in Quang
Tri Province, South Vietnam. He was assigned to C
Company, 9th Motor Battalion, 3rd Marine Division.

Perez died while seeking hostile communist forces near Danang,
South Vietnam. He was killed by a land mine while on
patrol. He was assigned to Radio Relay and Construction
Company, 7th Command Battalion, 1st Marine Division.

Porte died in Saigon (Pineapple Valley) while seeking hostile
communist forces. He was killed by a booby trap while
crossing a river. He was assigned to the 199th Light
Infantry Brigade.

4 Matta was killed in a truck accident while transporting
ammunition and supplies to Fire Base Black Hawk who were in
urgent need of supplies. He was assigned to the 4th
Infantry Division, 2nd Squadron, 1st Calvalry in Pleiku, South
Vietnam.

Miller was assigned to Troop F, 8th Cavalry, 16th Aviation
Group, Americal Division, South Vietnam. He was killed
when the helicopter he was in was shot down by hostile
communist fire. He was listed MIA until his body was
found and identified.

Nicholas was killed when his patrol engaged hostile communist
forces in Dan Ha near Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.
He was assigned to C Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine
Division, FMP.

Herman Huebner

SGT
Huebner was killed when his unit engaged hostile communist
forces in the Mekong Delta. He was a Track Commander
assigned to Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 47th
Infantry.

Frank R. Corona

SGT
Corona was a Crew Chief in a helicopter crew. His
helicopter was shot down in Cambodia while evacuating wounded
soldiers. After the crash, he was helping men off the
downed helicopter and returned fire on hostile communist
forces. He later died of wounds received. He was
assigned to Troup A, 1st Squadron (Air Mobile), 9th Cavalry,
1st Cavalry Division, Air Mobile.
